HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) is the markup language that is used for creating and rendering (displaying) web pages. It uses 'tags' to specify headings, paragraphs, lists, etc., and additionally it supports the use of interactive forms, embedded images, and other objects, such as Flash movies. HTML can also contain CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) code that defines the look and feel of items such as font size and color and paragraph style.
